El Portillo / Stone Designs
El Portillo is a Cafe in the Spanish ski station of Teruel. Converted from a log cabin by the Spanish studio of Stone Designs, the outside is painted black to contrast the crisp white snow and is adorned by illustrations Pepa Prieto.
However, it the interior that I really like. The pine furniture utilises red climbing rope that covers the steel legs of the benches as well as zig-zagging around the white interior. The tables and benches edges are painted a bright green which tie in beautifully with the green felt lights. All in all, a simple and playful place Id love to hangout after a days skiing.
