Spun Chair / Thomas Heatherwick / 2010 Thomas Heatherwick has created a chair spun of steel and copper for ‘Haunch of Vension’. Launched at this years Milan furniture fair, the shape is created by rotating a single geometric form to create an object that appears like an old fashioned spinning top.  The function is not immediately apparent, but once tilted onto its side it forms a comfortable and functional chair. And I personally would love one! Heatherwick you are still Britons greatest designer.
